Making A Difference

Welcome to the Greenland School District

Greenland teachers, support staff, and administrators are dedicated to seeing that students receive an excellent education. Students have the advantage of being in small schools where people care about each other while also enjoying comprehensive program opportunities in school and on-line. Extensive technology is utilized in all schools for both enrichment and remediation.

The community is supportive of its schools in many ways. Recent years have seen increased financial support. Athletic and band booster groups, parent teacher organizations, a newly formed educational foundation, watchdog dads, and classroom volunteers all contribute to the students’ accomplishments. Evening events are attended by alumni and citizens of all ages. Community sports programs are also provided by parent volunteers.

Quality of life is a priority in Greenland. School personnel are dedicated to helping young people succeed. Transportation is provided by local drivers with up-to-date equipment. Buildings are not new but are well-maintained. Graduate programs in educational leadership involving distance learning from the University of Arkansas to other parts of Arkansas originate from Greenland High School. We recognize a primary responsibility to prepare youth for a life of meaningful service, accomplishment, and productivity. Our belief is that this can best be obtained through relevant experiences facilitated by adults exhibiting good modeling behavior. Come home to Greenland.
