GES Counseling Program

Curriculum

Lessons are delivered to all grades, K-4, on a biweekly basis.  
Topics are selected based on collaboration with faculty and staff and are aligned with ASCA standards to fit the personal, social/emotional, and academic needs of our students.
Topics that will be covered this year:

- Social Filtering (Think it or Say it?)
- Bullying
- Kindness
- Goal-Setting
- Problem Solving
- Friendships

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassador positions are available for 4th grade students who wish to complete an application. Students have the choice to select what programs they would like to lead and be a part of. These positions are a great opportunity for your student to develop and strengthen their leadership skills, promote our school culture, and work alongside their peers! 
Current programs include:
- School Spirit Activities
- Yearbook Photographer
- Fire Marshalls
- New Student Orientation (coming Spring 2020)
