Our Philosophy
|
Public education provides for free and appropriate education
for all students as mandated by state and federal guidelines.
It is the responsibility of each school to use these guidelines
as the minimum criteria to provide for the development of
all students according to their abilities. Therefore, the
philosophy of this district is to provide, and if necessary,
develop the various disciplines needed for students to attain
full development. This district accepts its obligation
to work with the home, community, and church in a coordinated
effort to accomplish this objective. This school district
is committed to mold its program to meet individual needs,
the administration and faculty of Greenland Public Schools
recognizes a primary responsibility to the community to
prepare youth for a life of meaningful productivity and
service in our democratic society. Our belief is that this
responsibility can best be achieved by fostering positive
experiences encountered through the educational process.
